Location Of Project
Here, in the famous resort area of Golden Beach the company ERGOKAT SML S.A. is developing in a privately owned area of 36.000 sq.m. with a panoramic view a model residential complex of stone homes, following the traditional Cycladic architecture in a harmonious combination of the modern with technology and respect to the environment.

The complex is on the right side of the beach, at a short distance of 100-250 meters from the sea, with an east to west orientation.

On a small hillside, that smoothly ends at the seashore it ensures an unhindered 180 degree view of the sea and the islands of Naxos, Heraklia, Ios, Sikinos and also Dryonisi, one half mile away.

The varying grade of the land, a primary topographical characteristic of Aegean Sea communities, permits here also, the “irregular” placement of the homes, which are visually discernable within the complex of the community, placed in such a manner as to keep their view “open” toward the blue horizon.

The arrangement of the detached homes ensures privacy, autonomy, a separate identity for each and the exclusive use of large yards and gardens.

The homes are built with total respect to Aegean architecture, adapted to the natural environment, with a thorough design and traditional materials, combined with contemporary ergonomics.

The southern orientation and grade of the land allow the construction of ecological homes with bioclimatic applications:
  • The verandas and yards are protected from strong winds, while the openings on the north face, correctly designed, ensure good ventilation and natural air-conditioning for the home interior.

  • The exploitation of the grade of the land also allows for the bedrooms to be arranged at a lower level – as was preferred in older times – for coolness and to reduce the severity of sunlight in the summer months, for reduced heat loss in the winter, but without lacking the view to the sea which follows everywhere.
